Kathryn “Kat” North, M. Ed., Ed. S., LPA, joined 3-C Family Services in 2003 at the company’s inception. Kat works with children, adults and families in the areas of assessment, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, social skills, behavior disorders, parenting issues, and adjustment disorders. Kat’s fifteen years of very diverse experiences provides families with the knowledge, resources, and reassurance needed to resolve conflict and make optimal plans during the divorce process.Kat North completed a year-long School Psychology internship in the Western Piedmont part of North Carolina to complete her Masters and Specialist level School Psychology degrees. She continued to work as a School Psychologist in several rural and inner-city school districts in both North and South Carolina, and she was an integral part of the development of South Carolina’s statewide early childhood programs.Kat completed an American Psychological Association Ph.D. level Clinical Psychology internship through the University of North Carolina Medical School Department of Psychiatry. While there, she was able to participate in a variety of both child and adult rotations in the Department of Pediatrics, the college Counseling Center, the Neonatal Intensive Care unit, the Heart/Lung Transplant team, the Chapel Hill TEACCH Center and at Project Enlightenment with Wake County schools. Kat has presented and taught at numerous community, state, and national conferences, and she is published in the areas of assessment, project evaluation, and social skills curriculum development. Currently she is developing a Divorce Care support group for children in grades 3-8.

While not helping others, Kat enjoys the farm life in Chatham County, riding and competing with her two horses, gardening, fox hunting, and is a sports enthusiast as a spectator and a participant.
