Courts may be okay at deciding who does or doesn’t go to jail, but not at deciding family matters, such as how time with the children will be shared by parents living in different homes.

When North Carolina enacted the collaborative divorce statute, and I studied this non-court legal method for helping couples reach optimal settlement agreements, it was like coming home for me. I knew how I wanted to spend the rest of my legal career, and I have dedicated myself to becoming and being among the best and most experienced collaborative divorce attorneys in the state and in the country.
